Our room was brand new and very comfortable, and the cleaning was thorough. The gardens and pool area are really well kept, and the staff were both efficient and friendly. Being right on the seafront and in the heart of Las Americas made the stay even better. We’ll definitely come back.

We were right by the sea at the bottom of the Golden Mile, with easy walks to Los Christanos and Costa Adeje. The tower studio was spacious and had a balcony. The two pools are set among beautiful gardens, and it really felt like paradise. Staff were so attentive and friendly, always happy to help. We paid for breakfast, served outside by the pool. There was plenty of covered seating as well as places to sit in the morning sun, and the buffet had loads of choice. We’ll be back.

The pool was laid out really well, with plenty of space and sunbeds close enough that nobody felt far from the water. Our penthouse in the tower was probably one of the best of the seven or eight there. The views were spectacular, with the sea in daytime and the town lights after dark. Even in such a busy area, it was wonderfully peaceful to lie on the day bed at either end of the day. Breakfast meant a walk to the neighbouring hotel, and the route through a shopping mall wasn’t ideal. Once there, though, the selection was decent. You can also use the small waterpark at that hotel, which our daughter enjoyed.

The view from the window was lovely, and the room was cleaned well. The rest was a complete disappointment. For the prices charged, these problems felt even more unacceptable. The kitchen had all sorts of items nobody seemed to use, but none of the basics: no coffee, tea, salt or pepper, despite the fully equipped kitchen. The knife was so poor it bent while I tried to cut a potato, and my boyfriend cut his finger on it. If you want to cook, you’re left improvising or buying everything at a nearby grocery store. There were so many light switches in the tiny room that turning everything off at bedtime took about five minutes. And if you’d rather avoid cooking, breakfast costs 15 euros per person. The food was awful, tasteless and reheated. The vegetables, scrambled eggs and sausages didn’t seem real, and everything tasted like a cheap imitation. Even McDonald’s chicken is better. The first pastry I tried tasted stale, like a dusty cookie forgotten for ages. At least the room cleaning and the view were good. But if guests are paying this much to stay here, the place should be worth the price.
