Can Llobera

We left after the first night because staying there was impossible. The place smelled awful and had noise coming from the ceiling, neither of which a photo can show. Some rooms had no lighting, the bathroom was full of hundreds of mosquitoes, the sink’s water hose seemed kinked and leaked, and there was other vermin around as well. Everything was outdated and stank. When we went to the garden parasol, a swarm of wasps flew at us. The garden was completely run down too. An absolute disgrace.

We ended up leaving early because we felt unsafe and there was a serious ant problem in the bedroom. While we were out briefly buying groceries, someone took everything of ours that wasn’t part of the house, even drying underwear, flip-flops and an opened mosquito spray. We’d read the warning to keep valuables inside. After that, strangers kept hanging around on the property during the rest of the week, watching to see if we were there. The police said they’d increase activity, while the owner’s reply to my complaint was, “Guests are responsible for their own safety.” Trying to sort things out with the owner after the trip went badly too. They showed no interest in reaching an agreement. There was no peace or relaxation for us. The house itself is simple but beautiful, and the area is easy to reach, close to a main road. But for the price, the furnishings are poor: hardly any crockery or cutlery, no sharp knives, cheap mismatched kitchen items, and seats for only three in the living room. I strongly advise against booking this place.

No.
