The view is the only thing this villa has going for it. We came back from a two-week stay to a badly maintained house, peeling paint, and a gigantic hornets’ nest that should have been dealt with before our arrival. Water cut out at random every other day, even late at night, and we still had none on the morning we left. The pool had many missing tiles and caused serious cuts for several guests, so it isn’t suitable for children. The internet was nowhere near the excellent connectivity advertised. The owners were no help, and Mallorca Collections tried to troubleshoot without success. I’ve heard Mallorca Collections has removed the villa from its catalogue because of these problems, while Bookings.com is still listing it. If you can still cancel, I would. This place isn’t fit for purpose.

We were met at the villa by a cat and dog that seemed like strays. Over time we realized they were neglected pets belonging to the property. They eventually settled on the outdoor cushions at night and sat outside the glass doors. We grew fond of them and felt sorry for them, but the listing should have mentioned them. The internet barely worked when we arrived. A technician came three times and agreed the system was weak. They plugged in another modem, which helped a little, but you had to stand right beside it. There was no connection in the bedrooms or even on the patio 20 feet away. Cable TV worked once, then went offline, and we didn’t bother asking for another repair. Many rooms, including the garage, were locked and off limits. Water suddenly stopped working five or six times, always late at night. We’d find out in the morning when the toilets and showers wouldn’t work. It was a miserable way to wake up a house of 12, especially when it kept happening during a supposed luxury stay. We called for help and sometimes waited several hours for a technician. Several of us are engineers and could have handled something like a faulty valve, but any fix we might have tried was in the locked garage. The stairs to the second floor were dangerous. There were no handrails, the steps were slippery and uneven, and two people fell. One fall caused many cuts. The pool deck was also coming apart, with wood giving way underfoot. Mosaic tiles had been falling out of the pool for a while, leaving large white patches, and more came loose while we were there. We started collecting them. Exposed jagged edges caused several bad cuts, including a large glass splinter that took a lot of effort and pain to remove. Those bare spots must have been visible while the house was presumably unused, and should have been fixed. The villa was in serious disrepair, as if it hadn’t been occupied for years. I suspect it sat empty during Covid and that we were the first guests since then. It didn’t look as if it had been cleaned during that time, and paint was peeling in places. Because of Covid, daily housekeeping wasn’t provided. We’d agreed on two visits while the house was empty, but getting 12 people out for a whole day wasn’t easy, and we had to cancel one outing. That left us 9-10 days without cleaning service. We could manage the kitchen and laundry ourselves, but nobody told us where to find supplies for the heavily used bathrooms. The patio was covered in blown-in debris, and we weren’t given access to an outdoor broom. The house is in disrepair and was managed terribly.
