Hotel Hoposa Daina - Formentor Building

It’s a lovely spot for sitting and watching people, but the service needs sorting out. We stopped by earlier today and ordered a couple of ordinary drinks, not cocktails, yet waited quite a while. There were two staff members, and it looked like they had to make drinks as well as serve and clear tables. Ordering, getting drinks and paying all seem to take a long time, and I’m not sure why. C’mon Hoposa, you have the monopoly on hotels here in PP. Surely you can do better.

Marta and Valentina at reception made us feel welcome with their smiles and were always happy to help. The whole team, from the omelette chef to the pool bar staff, made a difference and seemed genuinely keen to assist. We were so happy with our stay at Hotel Daina In Pollença. Our sea-facing room was bright, with fresh white bed linnen and a lovely bathroom with a huge, powerful walk-in shower. The view was worth paying extra for, and we had no complaints about the room. The hotel has a bright boutique feel and an amazing pool area. It was even better when the pool turned into a late-night bar with cocktails and live music. Breakfast had a fantastic range, and a chef could make omelettes or hot dishes. I loved this place and hope to come back soon.

The one thing that disturbed my stay was the noise from the bins being emptied around 5:00, which woke me every night. The bathroom door also had no lock. Otherwise, it was great. The hotel is right by the seafront and close to the tourist information office and bus stop. We booked half-board, and the food was excellent, mostly prepared the same day. Staff were friendly and helpful, and cleaners were nearly always at work keeping the hotel spotless. The pool is marvellous, large and over 2 metres deep at one end.

The location couldn’t have been better, and our family had a wonderful time. We were upgraded on arrival to a Superior Apartment, which suited us perfectly as my daughters had their own room. It had a lovely terrace and was impeccably clean and fully equipped. The pillows were fabulous, and we all slept well. Breakfast was excellent, and during the heat of 32, the pool was especially enjoyable by day. At night it becomes the Lemon Bar, where we often stopped for a late drink. The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful throughout. Daina is a top-notch professional hotel that makes sure guests have a great stay. No complaints from me, and we’ll book again next year. Well done to all the staff.
