After a full day out in the North of Mallorca, it was great to come back to the pool and the A/C. The pool was such a hit with our daughter that she’d sometimes still be swimming after dark. The villa is lovely and peaceful, with barely any sounds beyond the crickets. It’s about a mile from Pollenca, making it a handy base for exploring the area by car. We loved staying here and really miss it now we’re back home.

There’s plenty of character in the villa, and it has the holiday basics covered, including room to store bikes. We were also welcome to help ourselves to the figs, lemons and grapes growing on the property. The cats were very wary of us at first and seemed to know whether people wanted them around, but my daughters adored them and would’ve taken them home if they could. Since it’s countryside, bring mosquito repellent, too. Our family, two adults and two teenagers, had plenty of room. Outside, there are several places to eat, plus another gas hob, oven and fridge. The pool is nearly 9 metres long and has enough depth for races and dive bombs, with a varying depth that makes jumping safe. There’s also a good spot for trips to Pollença, a walk around Santuiri, or the tougher climb up to Santuari de la Mare de Déu del Puig.

The villa and its setting are beautiful, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at villa Fullos. The mozzies were a real nuisance, though. Without them, it would’ve been perfect.
