The pool, grounds, and outdoor spaces made it easy to spend time together and have fun. We generally enjoyed our family holiday, though the rural setting means bugs and some big bites. A few things were awkward: the toilet wasn't private, and the self-catering basics were sparse, even salt and pepper pots. The AC was limited and on a timer, and the pool lights didn't work. Hot water was tepid and limited. The house is on a busy, narrow road, so take care walking toward Port or the old town, and when pulling the car out. There wasn't much security either: the gate wouldn't lock and the safe didn't work.

The pool, ping-pong table, and outdoor dining area were the best parts. We were generally satisfied, but the rooms were cold and damp, and the heating didn't work well enough to warm them properly. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and the doors stuck. The refrigerator smelled so strongly of chlorine that we had to throw out some vegetables because they took on the taste. The jam included with the other gifts had already been opened and partly used.

The porch, barbecue, and pool are arranged really well in the tidy outdoor area, and the cottage near Pollença is in a peaceful rural spot. Inside, though, it could use a refresh. The mattresses aren't very comfortable, the AC and extractor fan are quite noisy, and the sofas are very dated.

The pool and the big covered area with places to sit and lounge were great. There's a washing machine, and the kitchen is decent, though the refrigerator seemed a bit underpowered. The mattresses are very poor. Some doors stick and make noise, but they have an old-fashioned charm. Mosquitoes were also a real drawback in the evenings and at night.
