Villa Suari

The finca was okay, but the cupboards had such a strong musty smell that we couldn't use them. We were counting on the advertised crib for our one-year-old grandson, but the only one we found was old, stuffed with bath accessories in the garage, had no mattress, and didn't seem safe for a child. Luckily, a children's shop in Alcudia had a crib we could buy. They shouldn't advertise a crib and highchair as available when they can't be used. We're paying a lot, so the landlord really needs to renovate the finca.

Pollença is beautiful, and we'd happily return to the town, though we wouldn't stay in this house again. The beds weren't comfortable, and they were damp and musty, like much of the house. It was generally clean and has a good layout in a beautiful location, but the kitchen smelled especially musty and some dishes had mold on them. The landlord spoke only Spanish. If we understood him right, a pipe had burst in the kitchen and left everything damp. They brought a small dehumidifier and air freshener, but the kitchen and furnishings really needed cleaning. We cleaned some of it ourselves.

Be aware that there's no air conditioning and no window screens, so mosquitoes are a real problem. There are several fans, though. The finca is in a quiet spot and furnished in Mallorcan style, but it felt a bit musty. The pool reaches 2.40 meters deep!
