Room 101, the superior room, was nice, and breakfast was good. But the service team didn’t seem very interested in friendly, guest focused service. You really have to wait to be served, which is frustrating when you know what you’re paying for a room with breakfast. Around 9:00 there was no water, bread or salmon, and very little ham. There was only one staff member covering the whole breakfast room, so of course they couldn’t manage everything. Management, please make the breakfast service better and help the team feel more motivated. Thanks.

The food was delicious, and everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved the whole stay. The building is beautiful, with a kind of magical, majestic old-world feel 😍. Just a heads-up for light sleepers: you can hear the wooden floors creak when people walk, so earplugs might help.

The garden was the best part for me. Having dinner and drinks out there felt really special. It’s a small, lovely parador in a great spot, and the service was some of the best we had anywhere in the chain.

Dinner was especially tasty, and the service was attentive. We also had breakfast at the restaurant. The hotel is a beautiful former castle, and I loved staying there. Our room was very nice, though the remodeled bathroom was on the dark side.

The restaurant was top notch, and the rooms were spotless, with comfortable bedding and towels. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived. This is a remodeled 16th-century palace beside the heart of a medieval town, full of old-world charm in its gardens, furniture, art, and setting. There’s no parking at the property, but you can drive up to unload, with plenty of time to do so, and a convenient car park is a five-minute walk away. Highly recommended.
