Finca Son Roig by Valentin

The rooms were comfortable and clean, though they could use a few modern touches. The finca is beautiful and wonderfully remote, which would be ideal for peace and quiet. But the hotel was full of families, with children and babies shouting and jumping in the pool all day. We couldn't properly relax and ended up leaving during the day to find some quiet elsewhere. The website sells it as an “Oasis of tranquility”, which wasn't our experience. It feels like it should be adults only, and then it could be a 10/10. We were also let down by the service. No one was at reception when we arrived, so we had to look around the hotel for someone. There was no help with our luggage up to the first floor, and we had to fetch and return the iron ourselves. During dinner, staff didn't make an effort to smile and weren't polite to guests. Some menu dishes weren't available, either. Breakfast only runs from 8am to 9.45am, and dinner service ends at 9pm. You also have to tell them in the morning if you'll be eating there that night. For more than €1000 for three nights, it should have been much better.

A very quiet place with a lovely garden full of flowers and trees, and only half an hour from Palma. The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings, and the bathroom was large and nice too. We enjoyed the tasty breakfasts and dinners, with different kinds of food to choose from. The staff and service were great, and we'd like to thank everyone for their help, especially Pep. Nothing to complain about. The cocks and chicks were the biggest attraction 😃👌

The meals at the restaurant were all delicious, and both the accommodation and grounds were gorgeous. My husband, a couple of friends, and I stayed last summer, and it was the highlight of our trip to Spain. The staff were wonderful and made sure we had a lovely time from beginning to end. We’re looking forward to coming back!

The terrace room gave us lovely countryside views, and the location was so peaceful, surrounded by open fields and only 35 minutes from Palma. Getting to beaches, markets, towns, and everything else we needed took about half an hour by car. We had a relaxing and interesting stay at Finca Son Roig. The staff were helpful without being intrusive, and they were accommodating right from the booking, even with our alarmingly early check-in. The rooms were tastefully furnished, the pool had plenty of loungers and day beds, and the grounds were well kept. The rustic architecture was beautiful too. Lunch and supper had a good variety of menu choices, and breakfast each morning set us up for the day. Everything was first class. We’ll definitely return and recommend it without hesitation.
