Lar Atlantis

We spent June and July in the lovely house "Lar Atlantis", set on a beautiful peninsula in the far west of Galicia, in Spain. The Atlantic shore is only about 150 m away. A quiet little gravel road leads to the beach access, and the beach is a lovely small sandy cove. From there, a wooden path takes you to other parts of the bay, with equally nice sand. Even with perfect beach weather, we saw only two or three families across the whole 3-5 km bay. The waves can get a bit higher depending on the wind, but being on a peninsula means you can always find a beach with little or no surf, especially with small children. The house was clean, with stylish interiors, five lovely bedrooms, some with ocean views, and three bathrooms. The well-equipped kitchen was great. Outside, there's a garden of around 1500-2000 sqm, which the kids loved, plus an outdoor shower that made it easy to wash off all the beach sand. We spent meals on the west-facing patio, enjoying its open ocean view and the sunsets. Oscar, the landlord, was wonderful and easy to reach. His English is perfect, and he gave us lots of tips for places to visit and eat. We'd definitely stay at "Lar Atlantis" again. Thanks again, Oscar, for a wonderful stay.
