The coffee and bacon sandwich were good, but it was pricey, and the service was horrendous. We sat just inside the door and saw the staff snarl at almost everyone. It was cash only, with no till. I spent 22€ and the woman serving me ripped the 50 euro note I gave her, then asked me for another. A man was hesitant to give a girl tap water for her bottle, and they guarded the bathroom key like it opened a vault of gold. I tried to take something positive from thinking they do a job they hate every day and suffer accordingly. Avoid unless you’re starving.

The sandwich came on stale, hard bread, and the staff were short-tempered and rude. The bathroom is only for paying customers, with no option to pay just to use it, so you have to order something. I wouldn’t stop here again on the Camino de Santiago.

I watched a father politely ask the owner if his young child could use the restroom urgently. The owner refused because the facilities were for customers only. Policies matter, but showing some flexibility and empathy toward a child would have helped. It was disheartening to see such an unaccommodating response. The business seems to rely heavily on its location near "El Camino," where travelers and pilgrims often arrive in good spirits looking for somewhere welcoming to rest and freshen up. Their goodwill matters to the business. I wonder whether the owner has read the Google reviews. If dealing with people and occasional requests for kindness is difficult, maybe this isn’t the right line of work. Hospitality and customer service matter in a restaurant, and a lack of warmth and flexibility can drive away potential customers.

We found mold on the pastries during a coffee stop. The group beside us had mold too. When we told the owner, he got very agitated and didn’t want to refund us. He offered me another pastry, but after checking it himself, he found mold on that one too. Just have coffee or walk to the next place. Worst experience so far 🤮

The owner, a woman, was very rude. Prices were high for the Camino, the bathrooms were locked, and the video surveillance felt odd. This was not a welcoming place and didn’t feel very Camino-like. Avoid it, there are plenty of other options nearby.
