For pilgrims, it’s a perfect fit, and I liked it very much. It feels more like a 4-star hotel than a 2-star one. The location is excellent, everything was very clean, and the service was fantastic. Breakfast was good, and there’s a nice little spa with a brand new sauna. The room was spacious with good beds, and laundry is available for a fair fee.

Check-in was easy, the room was fine, and breakfast was good during my one-night stop on the Camino. The problem was the shower: there was no hot water early in the morning.

Nerea at the front desk made a real difference to my stay. She greeted me warmly, shared excellent local recommendations, and went out of her way to make everything run smoothly. Her professionalism and care made me feel like a valued part of the hotel community, not just another guest. The rooms were another highlight after days on the Camino: spacious, clean, recently updated, and thoughtfully equipped. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculate. I also liked the hotel’s modern design and decor, and found the atmosphere welcoming from the moment I arrived. Vistalegre Hotel is in a quiet spot, yet only a short walk from the heart of Portomarín. It’s a good balance of modern comfort and warm hospitality, whether you’re walking the Camino or exploring Galicia. My stay at the Vistalegre Hotel in Portomarín was outstanding. I highly recommend it and will absolutely return, especially thanks to Nerea. Five stars.
