The view across the mountains and sea was awesome, and the food was great. We had a lovely host too. 5/5, I’d recommend it.

If you’re looking to learn meditation, Karma Guen feels like the perfect place. Peace settles into your heart here. The monastery feels like the creation of a pure land, where the surroundings, the energy, the teachings and the people all make happiness easy to feel. As one lama once said, “It resembles Tibet.” It’s also a window onto the wonders of the universe, a place where rainbows appear and can be seen by the Buddhas too. The Buddhas reside here as well, which is why this is called a pure land. Dear Buddhist friends, and anyone seeking immeasurable happiness, thank you to everyone who made this reality possible. Be happy and give love to all sentient beings. My Spanish birth name is Jesús Ángel, and my Buddhist name is Thulku Karma Sultrim, meaning +- (The Lama who performs the action of Wisdom). Sultrim.
