Eigón

Dinner and breakfast here were among our favorite meals of the whole two-week trip. The welcome and service made us feel right at home, and the place is so beautiful inside and out. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it to friends.

The homemade breakfast was a highlight, especially the plum and lavender jam, fresh tomatoes, and freshly made smoothie. Our hosts were delightful and very helpful. The room’s views were awe-inspiring, and the hotel is thoughtfully laid out, with lovely decor and small details like a tea station. It felt like a hidden gem and a great start to our adventures across Europe. The location is fantastic for the Picos, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I wish there were an Eigón everywhere I travel. The hosts, Luiz and Fanny, are always available but still give you all the privacy you need. Their seasonal, homegrown and homemade food is fantastic, and there’s a great selection of tea. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen, down to the tasteful furnishings and little details. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing, with high-quality materials, the best beds I’ve ever slept in, and the best shower I’ve ever had. It’s modern and classy, and you can feel how much heart and aesthetic care the owners put into it all.

The owners of Hotel Eigon made our time in this beautiful setting something special. They’ve created a warm, exceptionally pleasant atmosphere throughout, and the stay was top quality, a place to really relax. Posada de Valdeon itself is wonderful, with amazing scenery. I appreciate the owners’ work a lot and wish them many great guests and all the best.
