Dinner was the highlight, with a better menu than breakfast, which was nice too. We stayed three nights as a family in a quiet building that had been nicely refurbished. A great base for relaxing and visiting Portugal, Ciudad Rodrigo, and Los Arribes. I think they may also host events or weddings.

The guests kept talking about how good the food was, and the generous portions meant nobody could manage seconds. The ingredients were clearly high quality, and everything felt homemade, carefully prepared, and full of effort. The value was excellent, much better than what they offer around the area. We celebrated our little one's christening here, and it went so well. They set up a small welcome cocktail in the garden, serving drinks from a caravan, and the setting charmed everyone. It was about 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit), but I don't think anyone complained about the heat. There was plenty of shade, the location felt pleasant, and the drinks were properly chilled. The dining room was cool too, and the service was attentive and efficient, making sure we had what we needed. The tables looked lovely, with little flower vases I hadn't expected.

I don't understand the no-pets rule when there are already animals around, like lambs, ducks, dogs, and geese. Still, it's highly recommended. The house and gardens are beautiful, the food is exceptional, and the service is exquisite. Seems perfect for a celebration or a relaxing weekend away.

Breakfast had plenty of variety, and everything tasted delicious. The welcome yogurt was a nice touch, and the room and bed were really comfortable. Service was outstanding from arrival all the way through our stay. A very welcoming hotel for a weekend to switch off and enjoy nature.
