El Bulín de Prádena

That spacious, lovely bedroom really stood out to us, and the small terrace is a nice touch. We spent the weekend here and loved the quiet, the house, and the friendly people in this charming little village. We’ll definitely come back.

The heating worked very well in the cold, and the location is excellent for exploring the Sierra del Rincón and getting to the Montejo Beech Forest. Inside, though, there was dust and cobwebs in lots of places, and the bathroom needs a complete renovation. It’s in poor condition and has an unpleasant musty smell. The front and patio doors have holes that let cold air and drafts in. The stairs up to the first floor are extremely narrow, which is uncomfortable for one person and especially awkward if you’re traveling with a large pet.

A weekend spent by the wood stove, and everything was great.

The location is handy for visiting the beautiful villages around the Sierra del Rincón. The heating was powerful, the Wi-Fi was good, and Netflix was available. There’s a wood stove and a barbecue too, though we didn’t use either. The patio is tiny and its furniture is very worn, and the place needs updating. It could have been really charming, especially with that attic bedroom, but the cleanliness let it down: there was quite a bit of dust in several places, cobwebs under the bathtub, and pet hair beneath the beds and sofa. The bathroom smelled absolutely awful, the toilet clogged from time to time, and the towel rack in the bathtub was very rusty. We were very disappointed.
