We spent five nights as a family of four, with half board in a quad room. It was clean, with fresh beds, hot showers and space to store ski gear, though the furnishings and decor felt tired. For a trip focused on skiing, the setup worked well. The buffet at breakfast and dinner had a decent range, including fruit and healthier choices, even if it wasn't gourmet food. The location is the big draw: close to the cable car, rentals and ski passes, and near the final slope, El Rio, so it works almost like ski-in/ski-out. Staff were polite and attentive. There's no hotel parking, but a large underground car park nearby costs 25 eur per day; parking farther away can be cheaper or free. A solid three-star stay, and we'd happily return.

We'd be glad to come back and ski here again. It's our favorite place we've skied, and the hotel's position is ideal. Everything else was good too, with superb value for money. Breakfast took longer than we'd have liked because there were so many children, and we wanted to get out skiing sooner. The kids were lovely, though, so it was only a small inconvenience.

The room was fine for a night, and the buffet on our first stay was good. Customer service had also been outstanding, which is why we booked again before leaving and secured a good rate. On arrival, the hotel tried to charge much more, but we showed the email and got the agreed price. This time the food was a letdown after a long day outdoors: it was horrible, with very little choice. The beds were still hard, just as before, and the room was so warm we had to open the windows. That brought in street noise, and there was also a loud group across the hall. We didn't sleep all night, so we won't return.

We got a good rate for one night, so the stay was fine. Our room was a good size, clean and warm, with simple, nice furniture and a lovely bathroom with a fantastic large shower. The beds weren't very comfortable, though. The receptionist wasn't very friendly, and we couldn't get WiFi in room 136. I assume we were too far from the main router. Im

The worst part of our stay was how we were treated over a cup of coffee. Breakfast and dinner came with unlimited coffee, and the machine was in a room left unlocked, where people sat at the sofas and tables. We took a cup each day after skiing, as other ski hotels we've stayed in usually provide hot drinks. On the last day, chef Elisabeth came out angrily and said we couldn't have coffee outside restaurant hours, though she did give us milk. A few minutes later receptionist Cristina chased us down the corridor and demanded payment. We brought the coffee back to reception, where Cristina and Elisabeth shouted that we'd "stolen" it in front of about 15 other guests. The coffee itself was very poor. We'd likely have endured the rest for four days if the staff hadn't been so rude. Cristina at reception showed no customer service skills and seemed unhappy at work. Senior manager Christine didn't answer calls even after promising to respond. It felt like nobody cared because the hotel was cheap and would keep getting customers. After this, our ski company moved us to another hotel straight away. We're seeking compensation from Mont Blanc for the disruption, the treatment and the poor quality of the hotel. The central location is convenient, but noisy. The place looks as if it hasn't been maintained since the 1970s: dated rooms, shabby furniture and curtains, and poor upkeep. The coffee machine capsules were never replenished. Heating couldn't be adjusted, except by opening the windows. Carpets in the public areas were threadbare and torn enough to be a trip hazard. This relatively cheap hotel was full of large school groups, with children running and screaming around all day. The buffet was just about okay, but lukewarm, and the restaurant often ran out of things like milk for the coffee machine and orange juice. Much of the crockery was badly chipped and unhygienic; unsupervised children poked at the food and moved on. You've been warned!!!!
