We had the place to ourselves over the May bank holiday, including the garden and barbecue, since nobody was staying in the other houses. It’s very peaceful just outside the village by the river, and the living room looks out over lovely scenery. Inside, there’s loads of space, and the bedrooms, bathroom and sofa are all comfortable. The hot tub was great, and the fireplace heated the room quickly without smoke or mess. The house had everything we needed. I’d give it 10 out of 10. The only drawbacks were the TV signal cutting out now and then and no Wi-Fi.

The clear skies and fresh air made it easy to stay up until dawn. It’s a lovely little village where you just want to linger and get to know the people. And the views are unbeatable, there’s nowhere quite like it.

The views alone were something else. The house was impressive, and the whole stay was spectacular. We spent four days there and I’d go back without a second thought.
