The location of a simple bed runner turned this into one of my worst experiences as a guest. At the end of my stay, the hotel said I'd taken it and wanted €42 for what I consider a worthless piece of fabric. To me, that was completely disproportionate and felt like blaming a customer without clear evidence. When I called to sort out the misunderstanding, the receptionist answered sarcastically and laughed. From my perspective, that was deeply disrespectful and unprofessional toward someone trying to resolve what seemed an absurd situation. I feel the hotel showed no dignity, professionalism, or basic consideration. I won't return, and I wouldn't advise travelers to choose it if they expect to be treated seriously and respectfully. In response to the hotel's comment: your reply is unacceptable. I've said clearly that I took nothing, and the public suggestion that "something could disappear again" is, in my view, an accusation without evidence. Generally speaking, attributing a crime to someone without grounds can be considered defamatory conduct, and a reputable establishment should avoid that. It's concerning that the response to a misunderstanding was to insinuate theft instead of showing evidence or dealing with things professionally. To me, that comment reflects more on the establishment's attitude and treatment than on a customer simply sharing an experience. I stand by my view that you handled this improperly, unprofessionally, and with complete disrespect. I won't be returning, and I think travelers should consider this kind of response before choosing the hotel.

Sadly, my experience at the Gran Casona de Sanabria Hotel was one of the worst I've had at any establishment. After what I see as a completely unfounded misunderstanding, the hotel accused us of a theft that never happened. They could have tried to clarify the problem with courtesy and respect. Instead, the public response was dismissive and unprofessional, and even said we weren't welcome. I've never seen customers treated with such hostility, so far from what you'd expect from accommodation trying to protect its reputation. I don't recommend this hotel under any circumstances. The way they treated me and publicly exposed customers while dealing with conflict showed no empathy, dialogue, or courtesy. There was no empirical, reliable, or legal evidence. Plenty of hotels in the area offer excellent service. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them.
