4/10
The rooms had more of a sanatorium feel than a hotel, and breakfast was very basic. Most of the guests seemed quite elderly, 70+, and the facilities felt geared toward medical or thermal treatments. We weren’t expecting a romantic spa, but the experience was still much worse than we’d hoped. On weekdays the spa closes early, around 14:30, which cuts the visit short. Disappointing.

We only explored outside, and it looks stunning.

The hotel is a long way out of town, so we drove in for a lovely, atmospheric dinner in the main square. The reception staff were friendly, though they wouldn’t provide a kettle and wanted us to use their cafe instead, which was fair enough. It’s a pleasant, large place with a spa, cafe, and restaurant, and worked well for an overnight stay.
