Hotel Maga

There’s plenty nearby, including a beach, lots of shops and restaurants, and a McDonald’s with the best pulled pork burger. The hotel itself was really nice and spacious, and the staff were amazing and helpful. The lack of AC in the room was a bit of a bummer.

The elevator won't be working until tomorrow. Unbelievable that they know about it and still haven't fixed it.

The location was great, but I wouldn’t return or recommend this place. The reception was hardly ever staffed, and the doors were always shut, so you had to walk through a restaurant to reach it. One night after visiting a nearby club, I couldn't get back in because the night receptionist was asleep on the sofa. I knocked on the window, but had to wait until the cleaning lady arrived at first light to get access. Our third-floor room had serious damp, and calling it basic would be generous. There were just two chairs despite three people staying there. The toilet and bathroom were so tiny that sitting down put you right up against the shower tray. Everything felt poorly thought out from start to finish.

We booked for seven nights starting 27 November, but nobody even told us the hotel wasn't open yet. I'm guessing it won't open for at least another three months. Be careful if you've booked. The management and communication have been terrible.
