Puerto Nest Hostel

The beds are worn out, and there are several safety concerns. For example, the ceiling fan could hit your head if you climb onto your bunk. Reception didn't speak any English. They also unlawfully require your phone number, email, and other personal data. Does any lawyer want to send Nest Hostels a cease-and-desist warning over its blatant GDPR violation?

If you want a quiet base for exploring the north of Tenerife, this hostel is a good option. It's clean and comfortable, and the layout feels more like a big house with a terrace than a hostel spread across floors, which makes it feel more personal. There's a good kitchen and a beach nearby. There are only a few restaurants within walking distance, so for more choice you'll need to head toward the city or order food. It isn't the best pick if you're after a very social hostel.

I had an excellent stay here over NYE. The hostel dinner was the best I've ever had, seriously, there was caviar in the canapes. The volunteers were wonderful, kind, and really helpful with logistics. We went downtown and had a bit of a salsa party too. There's not much nightlife in the area, but the natural swimming pools are lovely, and the beaches are quiet and gorgeous. It had everything I wanted in a hostel.

I really enjoyed staying at Puerto nest hostel. It feels like home, and there are lots of interesting places nearby. The volunteers are great, and there are often activities and family meals to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, especially Nicole for cooking such amazing meals!
