The beds were really comfortable, and the upstairs place was immaculate, right down to the towels, blankets, and kitchenware. It has a double bed in one room and two singles in another. Andrés was a lovely host. We only got to stay one night before setting off early Sunday for the Herrerías Aqueduct trail, which makes this guesthouse a great base for the hike. We’ll book Los Toneles again next time we’re walking nearby. Highly recommend it, easily a 10 out of 10!

Andrés had the fireplace going when we arrived, since he knew it was our favorite spot in the house. Those thoughtful touches made it feel like home. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful weekend using it as a base to enjoy Trujillo and Cáceres, and we’ll definitely come back.

We spent a month in Apartment Tonel 1 and felt at home. It’s quiet, spotless, and everything seems brand new. The beds are very comfortable, and the sofa bed is easy to set up and comfortable too. We used the several air conditioners quite a bit in summer, and the house stayed lovely inside. The patio is a nice place to unwind in the evening. There’s also a huge living room at the back, with a TV, chairs, tables, a sofa that converts to a bed, and rustic decor. There are board games for kids or adults, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Andrés was fantastic from the start, attentive and always making things easy. He really knows how to look after guests. The apartment has plenty of towels, sheets, kitchenware, two electric coffee makers, and cleaning supplies. No dishwasher, though 😅. You may find parking right outside, and if not there’s parking nearby. There’s a small village shop for bread and last-minute things; for a larger grocery run, Trujillo or Miajadas are close by. The pool is about a 15-minute walk away, with mountain views and water at a lovely temperature. The pool bar owners are friendly, and we enjoyed some good tapas there. Their tinto de verano was one of the best I’ve had! Entry costs €3 Monday to Friday and €3.50 at weekends, and you can come and go. For a longer stay, the €30 monthly pass from the town hall is worth considering. Bring cash, as they don’t take cards. There are football pitches and a children’s playground near the pool, plus hiking and cycling routes nearby. I wholeheartedly recommend the apartment for its value. Thanks so much, Andrés.

We had a lovely few days here. The apartment has everything you might need, and both houses are beautiful with carefully done decor. Andrés, the owner, puts a lot of effort into making guests happy. Other rural guesthouses could learn from how well he maintains the place. Best rural guesthouse I’ve stayed in, with every detail just right.
