Apartamentos Aloe

We've stayed here three times, and it suits us. It's clean and nice, though the facilities are basic and could do with an update. The seafront is about a 10-minute walk away, and the apartments are self-catering. There’s just a reception desk, with no other facilities, though there’s a free shower room and luggage storage for the journey home. You can’t keep your room after 10:30 am on departure day. Sorry about the pictures, we were due to head home.

Friendly staff and a supermarket about a 10-minute walk away. The apartment is good for the price and in a handy spot, around 10-15 minutes on foot from the seafront. The room felt a little dated, but had what we needed. The main drawback was the 10:30 am checkout.

I’d be happy to stay again. There was plenty of parking outside or on the street, and the rooms were very clean and had all the equipment we needed, though they are a little dated. The bedroom window had security bars, so I felt safe leaving it open overnight for air. Nothing was provided in the way of toiletries, not even bathroom soap, but a nearby Spar a few minutes away had the best prices within walking distance. Check-in was easy, and the staff I met were very friendly. The seafront is an easy walk away. I was only there for a couple of nights to support a friend at the Ironman event, so I didn't use the pool or sunbathe at the hotel. The pool area looked quiet, with plenty of sunbeds.

For the price, it worked well as a clean, practical base for a budget holiday. The pool area was tidy, supermarkets were close enough to walk to, and there was plenty of street parking outside. It's a quiet spot, with a short walk down a gentle slope to the seafront. The south-facing apartment gets full sun, so shade is hard to find and a bigger canopy would help. It could use modernising, but it was functional and clean.
