Apartment 17 was a lovely little place for the week. My sister and I had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. There's a pool too. It was very quiet, probably because around a third of the apartments have local residents. I'd happily stay again.
This is about apartment no. 32. The apartments in this complex have different owners, so good reviews may well be for other units and other owners. I think some of those places are probably neat and nice, but I can't recommend this one. It looked like a good deal, but we got no value for our money. The Booking.com photos didn't show how exposed the balcony is. The neighbours sit right alongside you, about 1.5 meters away, with no wall between you, so you can look each other in the eye as if you're at a restaurant. The listing also calls it a “1 bedroom apartment,” but there's no separate bedroom. It's a tiny, shabby studio. The mattress was very old, dirty and filthy, the pillow had decayed, the light switch was broken and dangerous, and the curtains were torn. The shower cabin was so cramped that it was hard to wash properly or even turn around, though we have average builds. Cleaning hadn't been done properly either: there were dirty marks around the base of the toilet and hairs on the shower wall. When we told the hostess we were unhappy about the misleading listing and the cleaning, she called us liars. There's also a generator behind the apartment complex that makes quite a lot of noise on and off during the night. We don't usually write bad reviews, since everyone makes mistakes. But after the misleading information and being called liars, I wanted to warn tourists looking for a pleasant stay and fair value.
Getting to the beach and shopping complex took about five minutes on foot. The pool was nice, but there weren't any sun loungers, which was disappointing. We stayed in APARTAMENTO RED, a privately owned apartment in this complex. Everything inside was new, modern and beautifully fitted, and it had been cleaned to a very high standard. There were lovely little gifts on the dining table and bed when we arrived. The owners were amazing, helpful and kept us informed about everything.
The rooms were damp, and the doors didn't shut properly. The beds were really bad.
It's pleasant, close to the main venue and handy for public transport.
