Punta Paradiso

Even arriving during a storm didn’t spoil the views, and the breakfast was amazing. Everyone we spoke to was really nice and suggested good places to eat. I enjoyed every minute here. It felt like paradise, and I’d definitely come back if I return to Tenerife!

The views are out of this world, and the cool, interesting decor made the place feel special. We spent two nights here and I felt really happy and relaxed. You can walk to the ocean pool for a swim, as well as to restaurants and a supermarket. We also went hiking without taking the car, so it’s a great base for exploring.

The small villa is very stylish, and the views, especially at sunset, are amazing. The breakfast attendant was very friendly, and parking right in front of the house was easy for us. Still, we left after one night and couldn’t get a refund for the second. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the value for money was completely off. The island is reasonably priced, so you can find a much better hotel for about the same cost. I’d avoid this place if you’re traveling all this way for a good holiday. There’s nobody in the house to greet you or answer questions. Instead, you get a flood of long text messages and PDFs before arrival. You have to choose breakfast the day before and leave the menu downstairs in the kitchen at night, which seems designed to make things easier for them, not you. With all the windows open and the house completely empty, the atmosphere felt strange. There were no pool towels or anyone around to ask for some. There’s nowhere to put your belongings in the room, which might be okay for one night but not a longer stay. Our superior room upstairs had a shared terrace, so we couldn’t leave the door open overnight. The shutter didn’t work, and there was constant noise. There was hair on the floor, and a closer look showed plenty of wear, including permanent brown stains on the shower floor. There’s no AC, which may be fine in autumn, but what about summer? The toilet flush didn’t work properly. Breakfast only starts at 9am, which is a problem if you need to leave early. The town itself had no character and looked like a ghost town. There was nowhere good to eat, and if you have standards, you need to take the car.
