The staff were lovely, and it’s a really nice place.

I paid 125 Euros for a room with hair everywhere, including the bathroom. The pillow was darkened and covered with yellow stains. When I said the price seemed very high for a room like that, he accused me of haggling. The nerve of that response. I have photos, sir, and can upload them here if you want to call me a liar. I can’t believe some hostels can’t keep even a basic level of cleanliness. At 11:00 PM, I had to go all the way to Huelva to find another hotel, and it cost less.

Two days after booking, I was left without a reservation and with no warning from the accommodation. I never even got to stay there. They said they couldn’t charge 50% of the total to my card. I called and spoke to Bartolo, who said it was a Booking.com issue and told me not to worry. Booking.com confirmed the next day that everything was fine, but that very night the same problem came up again. I told the employee on the phone to charge the whole booking to my card instead of my wife’s, and he again told me not to worry. The following day I called the hostel and spoke to the owner. She said they only sell by the week, and that she’d done us a favor by accepting our weekend booking. Then the card issue happened again, even though it was a credit card and we had tried a second one too. The guy had said there was no problem, but I ended up with no booking and no prior notice.

We slept really well because the hostel was quiet at night, even though it’s in a lively area full of bars. It’s very close to the beach, and our room was comfortable and really nice. The receptionists were lovely and helped us whenever we needed it, including when we couldn’t find a bar they’d recommended. It was a perfect trip, and I’d definitely come back.
