With three adults, there was barely room to move, and nowhere to put our luggage. The mattress was much too soft to be comfortable. The towels seemed very old from being washed so many times, and the duvet was old too.

The rooms were really clean, and it's a family-run place. Bar Nirvana next door is co-owned by them too. I'd recommend it.

I called the day before to confirm a reservation I'd made 15 days earlier. Then, just two hours before I was due to arrive, the owner cancelled, claiming the guesthouse had flooded. I found that hard to believe. His son runs the bar downstairs, so I asked him about it, but he knew nothing. When I challenged the owner, he was so embarrassed he couldn't meet my eyes. People in the village suspected there were other reasons. I've also seen other reviews saying the same flooding excuse had been used before. With no other accommodation options in the area, cancelling so close to my arrival was completely unprofessional. They need to handle bookings more professionally. I hope the business doesn't do well; he doesn't deserve otherwise.

The place was quiet and clean, but old and run-down, with a bit of a DIY feel. At €50, it's just about acceptable. The bedroom and bathroom are cramped, the mattress is overly soft and uncomfortable, and the bathroom smelled like a sewer. The window wouldn't open, and the curtains let the light through.
