I loved the small size of Albergue A Rotonda, with its limited number of beds, and would recommend it to anyone walking the Camino. During my Camino in June 2025, it was one of my favorite albergues. The owner was kind and communicated wonderfully on WhatsApp. The albergue was very clean and nicely decorated, with laundry facilities, including a place to hang things outside. Shops and restaurants were close by.

It’s easy to spot on the roundabout as you enter town, and it’s a great place to stop on the Camino. Germán grew up in the area and has lots of information to share. The albergue is small, so you may want to call ahead for a bed. There’s a nice shared kitchen with free instant coffee and tea. The blankets were nice, and the beds were mostly comfortable. Highly recommend.

Before check-in, communication was great. The host was extremely clean, sincere, helpful, and generous. I speak very little Spanish, so he called his daughter to translate, then drove me into town for a SIM card and gave me restaurant suggestions and other useful tips. It could be a good place for a group. As usual, sleep depends on how loud the people sharing the space are, so that can go either way. With the windows closed, road noise wasn’t a problem.

At the start of town when coming in from the Camino, the location was great. The hostel was super clean, and no bunk beds, yay! Staff communicated wonderfully on WhatsApp. The washing machine and dryer were available for a low cost. I was very impressed.
