Globales Mimosa

The location is good, just up the road from the main part of Palmanova. Food was lovely with plenty of choice each day, and the snack bar was incredible and open most of the day. Rooms are nice and modern. For the price, I'd recommend this nice hotel. The entertainment was very poor. Nobody tried to get guests involved in daytime games, and the kids' disco was at 9pm, when the children were too tired or already in bed. There are only a couple of lifts, so it was hard to get one at busy times, especially with a pram. We had to carry it down the stairs several times. Restaurant staff were pleasant, but the bar staff didn't seem very friendly and gave the impression we were an inconvenience, though they weren't nasty.

Sofia from entertainment and Silvia and Layri at reception were so nice whenever we came by to play tennis or needed something. They made our stay feel much more personal. The tennis court was a great facility, and everything was clean. We had a good seven days at globales mimosa and felt we got our money's worth. The downsides were thin walls, a shower that changed temperature, a slow lift and a poor all-inclusive menu. Still, we had a great stay!

The food was some of the best I've had at an all-inclusive, and I've travelled a lot. Drinks were okay and did the job, and the staff were really friendly. The hotel was spotless, rooms were nice, and we had no trouble finding sunbeds. It wasn't far to walk to things, though the steps back could be draining in the heat. The lifts were slow and small. I gave up a few times and walked up four flights, even though there are nine floors. That would be a real problem for anyone with mobility issues. The token and queue system was another frustration. I understand it for alcohol, but not for water and soft drinks. Those should at least be self-service; guests could still stick to two drinks and reuse the same cups. The same rule for water was ridiculous, and there should be a water dispenser. Those issues would put me off returning to this hotel, though I'd choose the globales chain again, just one with better lifts and a better drinks system.

Sofia made this trip much more than a regular holiday by the pool. The conversations, activities and positive energy made the stay unforgettable. She was the first entertainer who actually got me to join in with the hotel activities, and I had so much fun doing them. From day one she created a great atmosphere and made people feel welcome. She's warm, positive and genuine, always smiling and full of natural enthusiasm. You can tell she does it sincerely, not just because it's her job. Globales Mimosa is lucky to have her on the team.
