The owner made my wife's birthday weekend feel special, putting together a wonderful dinner and even arranging a surprise for her. He was incredibly kind throughout. A perfect 10, and I’d definitely return.

From the moment I met Ana, she came across as lovely and genuinely excited about starting this new chapter at the Inn. The location is hard to beat, and the care in all the little details really stood out. The service was exquisite. A great place to get away from the city, 100% recommended.

A calm weekend where it was easy to switch off and feel at home. Dorothy was especially warm and friendly, and her positive energy really came through. The service felt better than what you’d get at a 10-star hotel.

Dorothy deserves a thank-you. She was kind and helpful, and kept trying to find the best options for guests despite the problems. But her efforts couldn’t make up for how badly the place was managed. It’s a shame, because with better management it could be ideal for rural tourism. The 4-star sign at the entrance feels like a bit much. There were only two hotel staff members to handle everything. Since we were on a tour operator package, our tour guide greeted us when we arrived, but there was no one at reception at any point during the stay. From the end of lunch until 7 pm, nobody was available to help. When someone eventually appeared, the bar service was whatever soft drinks and beers were left in the kitchen, served in the lounge or at the entrance tables. There was no professional coffee machine, moka pot or even a household capsule machine, and there might not be any capsules left. We had full board. The food was homemade, but the cooking was basic, the quality barely acceptable and some details felt downright cheap. Cleaning seemed to cover only what was immediately visible. Looking into corners or up revealed cobwebs and old dust. The whole lounge smelled burnt, even though it was the middle of summer and the fireplace must have been out for months. They wrote down our drinks and later showed us the total in a school-style notebook full of scribbles. When I asked how many drinks were listed, they couldn’t make sense of their own notes. I asked for a receipt and was told they couldn’t issue one because the owner wasn’t there. I couldn’t pay by card either, despite the sticker on the door, and there were no customer complaint forms available.

Dorothy was lovely and very helpful, which was the one good thing about our stay. The experience otherwise was disastrous. The kitchen staff treated us very rudely, and there was nobody at reception to help. Customers weren’t given clear information, and the billing was confusing. They don’t take cards or provide receipts, and there were no complaint forms. The cleaning was very basic. I can’t recommend it.
