Barceló Cabo de Gata

It’s a clean, comfortable resort just outside Almeria, with a huge pool area and a decent buffet at breakfast and dinner. The coffee was my only gripe, but it’s a small one. We had a good experience.

We had a comfortable short stay. The staff were accommodating, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Being by the sea made it easy and pleasant to go for a walk.

The staff are what made our week at Barceló Cabo de Gata so special. We’re already thinking about coming back. Ester at reception always welcomed us with a warm smile, and Sandra at the front desk made check-in seamless and was so helpful. Mari Carmen was kind and attentive throughout. Montse at the bar deserves a big shout-out for the best mojitos we’ve had, and Laura, the guest experience manager, gave us great tips on places to visit around beautiful Cabo de Gata. The hotel itself is beautiful, right by the sea, with fantastic pools. Our room was comfortable and spotless, and there was plenty of delicious food to choose from. It’s that personal attention and genuine care that made the holiday unforgettable. We can’t recommend Barceló Cabo de Gata enough. Thanks to the whole team, and we’re looking forward to coming back!

I was there for a meeting at the conference center across the street, and the hotel provided rooms for it. It looked like maybe half the hotel was booked for the meeting. On the last day, when it finished at noon, I asked for just a few extra minutes to check out and couldn’t even get 15 minutes. The beach is far away, there aren’t many good restaurants nearby, and the power went out regularly in the room during the two days I was there. I don’t understand why this hotel is so highly rated.
