A special spot in Ribadeo. Calm and relaxing, with new rooms and a good bed.

The location is lovely, right by the harbour and near the city center. But the self check-in was a hassle: I rang a couple of times and nobody answered. The walls between rooms are very thin, and other guests were screaming at 3 AM, then started again at 7:30 AM. We got only a few hours of sleep. They offered free breakfast, worth 8€, as compensation. What a joke. Avoid this place if you need rest.

The location is great, and my room was clean and good. Still, the hotel seems to have missed what a hotel should offer. There’s no reception, just an automated screen that connects you to a call center, which then assigns your room. My bath had no plug; when I asked for one, they said no, as though having a bath wasn’t allowed. There wasn’t even water in the fridge, though the cheapest hotels I’ve stayed in Spain have provided a bottle. And the beautiful terrace was closed in midsummer. A good spot, but a real business opportunity missed.

The beds were comfortable, and we had a great sea-view room. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was decent, though nothing special.

The terrace has lovely views, and there’s a sign outside saying they serve sandwiches and bocadillos. I sat down there, only to be told they had no food at all. What a shame. Maybe the sign should come down.
