The beach is close and parking was easy, but everything else was terrible. The room smelled so strongly of harsh cleaning chemicals that we both coughed and got headaches, even after airing it out for hours. The receptionist was kind and moved us to another room, but that smelled just as bad. The walls were thin, there was no breakfast, and the place had a very cheap motel feel, all for €90 a night. If you expand a hotel, the standard should be similar throughout. It was a massive disappointment. Avoid, even without the chemical smell. If it hadn’t been 10 pm, we would have driven off to find another hotel. It really was that bad.

We slept well, and the room had one of the nicest bathtubs I’ve used, with lovely hot water. The hotel also left four bottles of water and two non-alcoholic beers in the fridge. The room was clean, quiet enough, and conveniently close to the beach and cafes. I appreciated being allowed to check in early, and the staff were friendly. Two things kept it from being five stars: housekeeping knocked on my door repeatedly at 2 pm, then at 8 and 9 am, and my key card stopped working after I put it near my phone. Their card machine was out of order, so staff had to come unlock my room manually. I stayed in for the rest of the night, though it would have been inconvenient to go out.

Having parking was a real plus, and the beach was close with town only a short walk away. The room was very basic, and service was quite limited: to reach reception, you call a number for the main hotel across the street. It was totally fine for one night, though I’m not sure I’d want to stay several nights.

It was easy to park for free, and the room had a little fridge and a pod coffee machine. The beach and cafes are nearby, and the main town centre is a pleasant stroll away. The area was quiet at night. Inside, the hotel feels modern and a touch luxurious, with a spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and toiletries a step above. The staff were courteous and helpful. We wished we’d had time to stay longer.
