We wanted somewhere peaceful for the night before our ferry to the UK, and this small village not far from Santander suited us well. The accommodation was very clean, the owners were friendly, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. The bed felt a bit too firm for us, though that seems normal. We also found good food at a local restaurant near a nearby campsite.

Somo beach is a lovely 10-minute drive away, and the area around Suesa is quiet and pleasant, with 5 very good restaurants. We stayed at La Casona de Suesa for 4 nights and had a great time. Sara and her family were so lovely, and we were able to celebrate our friends’ wedding with a big party and food in the garden. Definitely worth staying here.

Adrián and Sara looked after the manor house impeccably, and every detail felt carefully cared for. We stayed at Cubas with the whole family for our wedding nearby, and the views were breathtaking. It felt like being at home. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return as a family.
