The hosts were wonderful, thank you, Marian and José! We had everything we needed in the spacious, clean, comfortable apartment, including a baby bed and a highchair already there. It was quiet, and the location made it easy to find lots of places to visit. We’ve only just got home and are already hoping to come back soon.

The worst part was the cramped attic bathroom. The shower was uncomfortable even for someone 165 cm tall, and using the sink meant watching out for the beam or crossbar so you didn’t hit your head. Outside, traffic from the two nearby roads was constant, and the windows did little to block it. The acoustics inside were bad too, we could hear people talking in the neighboring apartment. The place was clean and central for sightseeing, but for the price it wasn’t worth it. Sorry, I can’t recommend it.

We’d gladly stay here again if we’re back in the area. The owners were friendly and attentive, and the apartment was comfortable and just right. It’s well placed for the beach, Cabárceno Wildlife Park, Santander, and plenty of other attractions. Highly recommended.

Hoz de Anero is lovely and peaceful, and a great base for visiting the villages of Cantabria. The owner was so friendly, and the apartment was perfect. It was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in. I’m saving it as a favorite for sure.
