The room was clean and seemed recently refurbished. That's the best I can say about the hotel. At 90€ for such a small room in a one-star hotel, it felt far too expensive. It's in the city center on the main road, so ask for an interior room to avoid the outside noise. You can't avoid the noise inside, though, because the walls are so thin you can have a conversation with your neighbor. Breakfast service was the worst part. There were seven tables of guests and five people serving, yet it was a nightmare. I appreciate the intention behind bringing everything to the table for a personal service, but if they can't manage it, a good self-service buffet would be better. It took us an hour to get breakfast because every request took ages, if it was served at all or was the right thing. The breakfast itself wasn't that great either, especially compared with the amazing food and breakfasts available at other hotels and restaurants in the area. Room for improvement!

That bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the room was spotless. Breakfast coffee was really good and you could have as much as you wanted. From my first call to book right through to leaving, the service was impeccable and everyone was so friendly. For the price, what they offer feels pretty decent. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area. Thanks!

We had a lovely view of the street from our room at the front of the building. The family running the hotel were kind and helpful throughout. It’s also near restaurants, and just a short walk to the station and the Cogwheel railway. A great place to stay in Ribes de Freser.

The common room was a hit with my two-year-old, thanks to the toys and board games. We also really enjoyed dinner, it was delicious. The different generations of staff made the family-run feel obvious, and everyone was happy to answer questions and help us arrange our trip to Ribes De Freser ski park. Ribes De Freser is beautiful, though it’s a 2.5-hour trip from Barcelona. We had an exceptional stay.

The bathroom door and wall were glass. They weren’t see-through, but still didn’t offer much privacy. The room itself was decent, though on the small side.
