The pool and terrace are a real highlight, and the house is spacious and well equipped. It’s also in a handy spot, close to Mercadona and about a 10-minute walk from the seafront bars and places to eat. There’s a lot of privacy around the pool and terrace, with no one passing through. The house seems to serve a few purposes: the basement looks like a yoga studio, and I think the owner lives there too. It was spotlessly clean, but the house itself feels very tired. The kitchen is meant to have a distressed look, though it comes across as dirty. The rooms are generous in size, but the mattresses are old and saggy. This has apparently been mentioned many times, but it doesn’t seem to have been addressed. The ensuite in the main bedroom is awkward to use because the bath is sunken and there’s no shower curtain. We were left with just one key, which is ridiculous for a house that size. There’s a key safe by the front gate, but the front door locks automatically when it closes, so you can’t put the key back for the rest of the group to get in. The owner was away when we arrived, and I felt let down by the lack of information. We weren’t told when to check out, where to put the bins, or who to contact in an emergency. That’s poor. Still, the location is good, the price is fair, the place is spotless, and the pool is wonderful. Many thanks for letting us stay.
