Melia Benidorm

The buffet had lots of tasty choices, including fruit, cheese and desserts. There’s also an indoor pool and a sauna for hotel guests. Our bedroom was spacious, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was large too, though I think a shower plate would be more comfortable than the bathtub and would save water. The waiters were attentive and helpful, but there weren’t enough of them to clear and set the tables.

The hotel is stunning, and I’d happily stay again. The daytime and evening entertainment could be better, though, and the seating for the night shows felt a bit odd. The entertainment next door is better, which is the only reason I’d hesitate. A big thank you to the young woman at the bar by the snack bar. She was lovely, always smiling, and the only one who knew how to make a good drink. Sorry I didn’t get her name, but thank you!

Jose from the entertainments team deserves a special mention. He went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and help us enjoy ourselves. The location was great, with just a short walk to the beach and bars. The hotel itself was lovely and well kept, the food was good, and the staff were very friendly. We had a fantastic stay, though we gave it 4 overall because the rooms felt a little dated and could use a revamp.

We were a group of 13 at the Meliá Benidorm and couldn’t fault our stay. The location made everything easy while still feeling relaxed. There’s a Lidl right across the road, handy for snacks and essentials, and a lovely Chinese buffet opposite too, which suited a big group like ours. The hotel was immaculate, with spotless rooms, comfortable beds and everything kept to a high standard. We enjoyed it so much that we’re already looking at booking again for next year. I’d highly recommend it for couples, families or larger groups visiting Benidorm.
