A nice house with room for quite a few people. Everything else was fine, though getting there means driving along a somewhat rough dirt track, and the town center is about 2 km away.

There’s a big garden, a lovely pool, animals, and plenty of space, so it’s a beautiful house for getting the family together. Heating and hot water were good, and there’s a charging point for electric cars. A few things were missing: bath towels, firewood for the fireplace, charcoal for the barbecue, and toilet paper. You also have to take your rubbish out, or they charge you 20 euros.

We were there for six nights. The house was nice, but getting around the stairs and bathrooms was a bit difficult. The glassed-in barbecue area was the main problem. Its glass doesn’t fold down, and it gets incredibly hot. We even had a toad visit us, curious! On the plus side, the service team was very attentive and quick to respond whenever something came up.

The country house is pretty and roomy, great for switching off from everything, apart from the constant bathroom smell. You can’t flush toilet paper here, so it goes in a bin beside the toilet along with feces. A lovely natural aroma to keep you company on vacation. Then at the end you have to load your rubbish into your own car and take it away, an unexpected souvenir. Follow the bathroom bin instructions and trash rules closely, because they’ll take your deposit if you leave rubbish or don’t follow them. An experience that’s hard to forget, though not for the reasons you might expect.
