Fincaretama Farmhouse Apartment Ronda

The Farmhouse apartment has loads of space and was wonderfully clean. We loved the open-plan kitchen and sitting room, along with the gorgeous balcony that gets sun all day. Finca Retama is in a beautiful rural spot but still within easy reach of Ronda. Nick and Julia were delightful hosts and glad to share ideas for day trips and good places to eat. We had an amazing time and will definitely return. Thanks again.

A little bumpiness on the final stretch of the approach road is worth knowing about. We were glad to have an SUV hire car. Beyond that, we’d definitely recommend staying here and would like to return. We visited Casa Abuela with our two teenage children over the February half-term, using it as a relaxing base after exploring Ronda and the Sierra de Grazalema. The accommodation was spacious, spotless, tastefully decorated and full of character, in a beautiful location. Its pool and garden are private and wonderfully peaceful, like a little piece of paradise. Nick and Julia were superb hosts, with great tips on restaurants, things to see and parking.

The kids loved the big pool, and honestly so did the rest of us. There are country walks right on the doorstep, and a couple of decent restaurants in nearby hotels are a short walk away. Julia and Nick were relaxed, great hosts. The accommodation is good quality in a lovely valley setting just outside Ronda. Perfect.

Casa Abuela is just opposite the main house and right beside the pool. We had a fantastic week there. Inside, it’s got excellent facilities, a brilliant kitchen and living space, and large bedrooms and bathrooms. For a beautiful rural escape in Andalusia, with Ronda only a 10-15 minute drive away, this is a great choice. Nick and Julia were wonderful hosts too. Thanks again! (Will and Jemima, UK)
