Hotel Polo

We couldn’t stay on our booked date, 6th January 2026, because an unexpected hospital appointment came up. We asked to move the booking to 12th January 2026. The hotel had availability and the price was unchanged, but they said their policy meant they couldn’t alter bookings, whatever the circumstances. We weren’t cancelling, just asking for a little understanding and help, but they wouldn’t accommodate the request. That felt like very poor service. It’s a small hotel and could have chosen to help, but put its policy ahead of customer satisfaction. It might be a lovely place, but after how this was handled, we won’t stay there. I rarely leave a bad review, but this situation deserved one.

The woman at reception was so kind and helpful, she deserves more than five stars on her own. The hotel looks quite old, but it has what you need for a short visit to Ronda, and our room was quiet with a comfortable bed. Its central location made it easy to explore on foot. There are discounted rates for two nearby underground car parks, which is a great way to leave the car and see the town. If we come back to Ronda, I’d stay here again.

The staff were kind and very helpful, and the hotel was clean and comfortable in a central spot in Ronda. The main drawbacks were slow wifi and a shower that left the whole bathroom soaked. There’s no fan, and the shower door only covers half the opening.

Just a heads-up, our double room had two single beds pushed together instead of one double. That can actually be handy in the height of summer, but for some people it could be a deal breaker.
