The upstairs heating was out, and the kitchen was flooded when we arrived, with dirty cookware still full of food scraps. The kitchen was poorly equipped, and the bedding was old and sparse. Hygiene and upkeep were seriously lacking: the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned, with urine in one and hair in the other. A tablecloth had pebbles, cobwebs, and lots of dead insects on it. I know it's the countryside, but it looked like it had been left there for ages.
The dishes were enough for 10 people, and the dishwasher and coffee maker were great. We stayed for the weekend and really liked the house. The heating was a little weak, but the fireplace took care of it. They didn't provide a broom, though, and a broom and dustpan are essential. For a weekend stay, I'd suggest adding two toilet paper rolls per bathroom. Still, it's great, and you're going to love it.
