My boyfriend and I spent a week here in the middle of September 2013, and we have only good memories. Hostal Sixto felt so homelike and cozy, with lovely rooms and great staff who were friendly, helpful, and hardworking. It’s in Rota’s historic center, just five minutes from a perfect sandy beach, and the rooms were always clean. There’s also a great Italian restaurant in Hostal Sixto. The weather was around 30 degrees Celsius with a light breeze, so it didn’t feel hot. The Atlantic Ocean was warm, clean, and calm, and we swam and sunbathed throughout our stay in Rota.

I was only there for dinner, not a hotel stay, and stumbled across the place while searching for somewhere to eat. The food was superb, the staff were great, and sitting outside made for a perfect evening. Five stars from me. 👌🌟

Dinner on the rooftop terrace at sunset was a real treat, and Tuscania is right downstairs. Roberta and Marinella made us feel like family, including with the food they cooked for us. We had a wonderfully special, relaxing stay and the customer service was sensational. Don’t miss this place.

A tiny room, but it did the job perfectly: somewhere to sleep and freshen up between exploring Rota. The setup is pretty unusual.

The room felt cold at first, though the heater soon warmed it up. Staff were great, and the hotel is right by the beach and nightlife.
