Hotel La Parrita

We booked two nights to explore Rota, but checked out at 18.40 on the second day because the hotel work made it impossible for my elderly partner to rest. A huge crane blocked the road from mid-morning while work on the roof continued, with large structures being removed and others added. The owners must have known about this when we booked, but gave us no warning. Had we known, we’d have booked just one night, since we’d arrived in the evening after a long drive. The owner refused to refund the second night, despite my having paid in cash. Poor treatment, and not honest of the owners. Not recommended. The first evening was noisy from the street outside our third-floor room, even though we’d asked for somewhere as quiet as possible. The hotel café was open from 06.00 to 11.30 and was noisy too.

Everything is within walking distance: the beach is five minutes away, there’s a restaurant next door, and a bakery and fruit shop across the street. The base gate is about a 5-10 minute walk up the road. The bathroom was immaculate, and the receptionist was very helpful, answering all my questions and going out of his way to make sure I was happy. I would recommend the hotel. I just would’ve preferred a non-smoking room.

There was construction nearby during the day, so there was some noise. Even so, the price was very reasonable, the receptionist was kind and helped arrange a taxi, and the free Wi-Fi was VERY fast on all my devices. Coming from 🇺🇸, I found it a nice, convenient place and would stay again.

The family-run hotel is well placed for the beach, the food market across the street, and an easy walk to other places. Rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were terrific and helpful. The attached bar also had very friendly staff and service.
