Casa La Carpintera

The attic was freezing, with no heating at all, so in winter it doesn't seem usable unless the weather is mild. The owners also control the heating remotely and set it to their preference. We had children with us and were cold, and there's no heater in the bathroom either. The kitchen had very little in it. There were no bin bags, cloth, scrubber, or napkins, and nowhere to store food, so everything had to stay on the counter. For six people staying four days, they left just four toilet rolls, and there weren't enough towels for everyone. The rooms are much smaller than they look in the photos. One bedroom has no outside window, so it gets no natural light. After staying in lots of rural houses, I've never had service this sparse. It left a lot to be desired, and we won't be back.

We stayed during the Royuela festivities and felt right at home. The house has plenty of space, and the barbecue was great. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner was really friendly, and the house has plenty of room for six, with two bathrooms and two separate living spaces. It's on a quiet street without traffic or noise, and there's a TV and Wi-Fi. Nearby, there are several places to visit, including Albarracín, recreation areas, hiking trails, and waterfalls. One thing to plan for is payment: unless the method has changed, you'll need cash. ATMs are a bit like gas stations, you can't count on finding one everywhere. Well, isn't that great?

There's everything you could need in this cozy, well-kept house for six. The owner is super friendly, and the barbecue is right outside the door. Highly recommended.
