Los Esperones

We came back from a week here feeling like we’d been in paradise. Surrounded by nature, the country house has magnificent views and is wonderfully peaceful. There’s no cell phone coverage, so the Wi-Fi was essential for getting online while still switching off from the outside world. We all ate comfortably in the spacious living room, and the garage was handy. We made the most of the barbecue and the pool, which has a waterfall and Jacuzzi, and will definitely return. The house has five bedrooms, including three double rooms with air conditioning. One of those has an en-suite bathroom, with another shared bathroom upstairs and a further one downstairs. The kitchen has everything needed to cook, including a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee maker that makes fantastic freshly ground coffee. The owners are lovely, helpful, and ready to sort out any problem. We also enjoyed the little stream behind the house and took a trip this morning to the Iznajar reservoir, about 25 minutes away. There you can rent pedal boats and get drinks at a kiosk. It’s a great place to disconnect, and we highly recommend it. The porch feels very peaceful, and the house is comfortable, with very new facilities and three bathrooms. There are five bedrooms, three with double beds and air conditioning, and the windows have mosquito nets, which are ideal in the countryside. The kitchen is fully equipped. The Jacuzzi isn’t very big, but it’s lovely and has everything you could need. The girls really enjoyed it.

The house has beautiful views and makes a good base for walks or visits to nearby towns, including Rute, Carcabuey, Cabra, and even Iznájar and the reservoir area. Casa Los Esperones was a great stay, with lots of space, a stable Wi-Fi connection, and a well-equipped kitchen. The roomy living area offers plenty of possibilities, while the terraces and patio with a barbecue add a lot. It’s beside the Esperón, a traditional Valencian grove.

Breakfast on the terrace, watching the water run and listening to the birds, was a lovely way to enjoy this place. The house is well equipped, and the stream and surroundings are spectacular. Walking around and taking in the pull of its great estuary made the visit worthwhile.
