Aparthotel Playa Dorada

It's a nice place in a good location, but the food was horrible. Evening entertainment was so loud that I wouldn't call it family-friendly. The music stopped at 23:00, but this hotel and the neighboring hotel both played music so loudly for hours that you couldn't sleep or relax there in the evening. If you don't have kids and expect to go to bed after 23:00, it should be okay.

I was waiting for my transfer bus at 4:45 in the morning when the reception staff invited me to sit inside with a coffee or breakfast instead of waiting alone outdoors. It was a small gesture that meant a lot in a stressful moment. The chefs were friendly too, and one kindly offered me a tea bag. I stayed six days and had a really pleasant time. Staff were kind, helpful and always polite. I picked the hotel for its location right by the sea, and it didn't disappoint. I loved the beautiful views from my sea-facing balcony. For a three-star hotel, it offers good value and a nice range of food, though the taste wasn't always amazing. The choice made up for that, and there are restaurants nearby if you fancy something different. Thanks to the team, I had a lovely stay, and I wish you continued success.

The resort was fab, with shops and restaurants, and the beach was beautiful. It's more at the end of Sillot than Sa Coma. We were there with a mostly German crowd and didn't meet another Brit, but it didn't bother us. Brits hoping to chat with other families should know that. We both really enjoyed the hotel. It was clean, the rooms were spacious and had stunning sea views, and I appreciated the daily maid service. Food was okay, though the all-inclusive menu was the same each day and a bit hit or miss. The bar was excellent, with great choices, and we loved the beer and sangria. There were loads of sunbeds, but it was mega busy, so get up early if you want one. The woman at the front desk was friendly and chatty, and we thought she was hilarious.

It's a lively hotel, so it won't suit people looking for a quiet, silent atmosphere. We liked it, and we'll come back. There was lots for children to do nearby, including pool billiards and table tennis, and the surroundings felt friendly. The beach, restaurants and shops were close. Our children thought it was paradise, and we didn't have any mosquitoes. We'd read some reviews and weren't sure what to expect, but the hotel was lovely. The rooms were huge, clean and had sea views. Everything was cleaned properly every day. The waiters behind the bar were super friendly, helpful and funny, especially Ismael and colleagues. The food was good, with different things each day. The pistolets weren't fresh baked and were so hard they were difficult to eat. The toast machines were basic and slow too. My only criticism is that the hotel should bake the pistolets fresh in an oven and get an automatic conveyor-belt toaster like some other hotels, where you put the toast on one end and it comes out perfectly toasted at the other.
