Apartment SOlivera Sa Riera

The terrace setup was a serious concern: the photos showed an apartment on the first or second floor with a view, but we were given a ground-floor place that could be reached from the street. There were three of us, and we didn’t feel our safety or belongings were protected. We also heard the cleaner say in Pals, when we collected the keys, that the apartment was ready. It clearly wasn’t. The keys weren’t available until 4 pm, and we had to go to Pals to get them. Inside, it smelled damp and stale. The curtains had stains we thought might be blood, the bedside tables were dusty, and the old dining-room furniture seemed to be where the smell came from. We were told a family had stayed the previous week, but the place still looked like it had been shut up without a proper clean. We spent an hour washing food off the kitchenware, the butane stove burners were filthy, the fridge barely cooled, and there was no ventilation. The floors were so dirty that scrubbing them turned up broken glass. We also found several spiders and a cockroach by the TV stand. We tried to put up with it because we expected to be out most of the time, but eventually we’d had enough. The solutions offered so far are nowhere near acceptable. This needs a deep clean lasting at least two days, not a quick one-day job. We know lots of people pass through these apartments, but this level of dirt is completely unacceptable.
