Budget Urpí Center

The hotel was clean, professional, and comfortable, but a few choices felt odd. There was no minibar or bin in the main room, and the blanket was missing from the bed twice.

We'd stayed here twice before, so it was disappointing to have such a poor visit this time. When we arrived, the receptionist couldn't check us in and just allocated a room. On our last morning we went out for breakfast, then came back to find ourselves locked out. At reception, a woman was helping another customer and told us we had to pay before we could get our key. She then took a phone call and chatted while we waited. We paid, but the whole experience put us off staying here again, especially since the receptionist was really rude. They've also cut back on things like bathroom glasses, and the shampoo is very cheap. We visit Sabadell regularly to see family, but we'll choose another hotel.

The rooms were recently updated, as far as I could tell, and ours was modern, spacious, and comfortable. It felt far better than a basic room, and I'd happily stay again. Hotel Urpí and the adjoining café both have friendly, helpful staff, even though I only know a little Spanish. La Creu Alta metro station is a five-minute walk away, with a direct S2 line to Placa de Catalunya, a handy starting point for seeing Barcelona. Restaurants and convenience stores are also within about a ten-minute walk. It's a nicely located hotel in Sabadell at a reasonable price.

I've had dinner at the restaurant twice, and the food was tasty and good quality. There are lots of options, from meat and fish to pizza, pasta, and burgers. It's a comfortable, welcoming place, busy with hotel guests as well as some people who come just to eat. You can also visit the other main rooms inside the hotel.
